KaraFun Player

It's not easy to prepare a karaoke party, especially when you need to find a lot of songs with lyrics and the right application to play them. KaraFun Player allows you to play karaoke files in a familiar environment and it provides a good number of neat background animations for lyrics. Its key feature is the fact that it gives you access to a rich library, with over 15.000 karaoke songs.

The player itself is free, but you have to pay a monthly fee or purchase a 48 hours pass, if you wish to access the songs library. The software's setup package is roughly 5 MB and it doesn't take long to install its components on your computer. It is also worth mentioning that KaraFun Player is available for Windows PCs, as well as iOS and Android mobile platforms.

In terms of appearance, KaraFun Player is similar to other media players, like Winamp. The user interface is composed of three independent windows, which can be docked together or hidden. Besides the master controls window, you can also find the equivalent of an equalizer, as well as a library and a playlist manager.

Instead of the usual sliders, which you would find on an equalizer, KaraFun Player provides a series of controls for changing a song's key and tempo, adjusting a microphone's In and Out volumes and more. The Library window is where you can find numerous online songs. They are neatly categorized in a tree structure, based on their genres and you can play them right away, without downloading anything.

You can also explore your local folders, on the same Library window and play your own karaoke files or songs in regular audio formats, like MP3, WAV and others. Right clicking an audio file will display options for sending the file to the playlist, converting it to WAV or WMA, managing background animations for that songs and much more. When you play a karaoke file, the song's lyrics will appear on a separate window. You can choose between two lyrics highlighting methods and activate a sync bubble feature, which can help a singer figure out when the next lyrics will show up.
